We are a welcoming and affirming congregation of the Reformed Church in America, located in central Middlesex County, New Jersey.  We believe that our calling is to use the gifts we have been given in order to serve the community around us.  We seek to be a community where all are welcome, no matter their age, race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, financial status, or ability.  We invite you to learn more about the life of our congregation using the "Our Programs" tab above!

Mission Statement

The mission of the First Reformed Church of South River is to be a community church providing spiritual guidance, based upon the Gospel and teachings for our Lord, Jesus Christ, to people of all ages; providing assistance and support to the needy; and continuing support of community and county outreach programs.

Church Staff

Colleen Toole (M.Div) joined the First Reformed Church of South River as Church Revitalization Pastor in June 2017.  Colleen is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary who is moving through the ordination process in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Before attending seminary, Colleen worked as a director and sound designer in live theater in New York City and spent several summers on staff at Montreat Conference Center.  Colleen has presented on inclusive church practices at conferences sponsored by the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada, and NEXT Church.
