Beloved in Christ,

At the First Reformed Church of South River, we are committed to being the body of Christ in this world. This commitment is guiding our decision-making as we prayerfully consider how to respond in the light of COVID-19.  For guidance on how to protect yourselves and others, we recommend these resources:

As a church, we are staying alert and updated on recommendations and developments via WHO, CDC, state and local agencies, as well as connecting with our denomination and other local churches as we all discern how to move forward.  When we gather, we are adjusting practices in worship to minimize the risk of spreading illness, and are keeping up with best practices for disinfecting our worship and fellowship spaces. We also encourage anyone who feels sick to stay home, and we look forward to worshiping with you again when you feel better!

We are taking the effects of COVID-19 seriously, both in how this disease can be curbed through social distancing, as well as how illness and loss of work will hit some of the most vulnerable in our community the hardest. As people of God gathered together in this time and place, we will do our best to listen to the Spirit's guidance concerning how we can stay safe and respond to the needs that arise here in South River.
